Wellesley writes to Anne, 26 July 1809, from a ship off Ushant bound for Cadiz, telling her of taking three Danish vessels, which allowed him the opportunity to send a letter. He reports that the best school to educate boys intended for the Navy is the Naval College ot Portsmouth, and advises her to send William there immediately, and not allow him to remain idle any longer; he will pay expenses. He reports that they fired two new rockets of Wm. Congreve's invention, and compliments them as "tremendous instruments of mischief."
